Alberto DelgadoPastor Alberto M. Delgado was born in Havana, Cuba, on October 12, 1946.  He left Cuba at age 15, in April of 1962 without his parents.    He was placed by the Catholic Welfare in an orphanage in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  After completing high school he left the orphanage and attended the University of New Mexico for one year.  Later on, he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict in the Medical Corp.

In 1968, he concluded his time in the service and returned to Miami, where he worked in the pathology department of Mt. Sinai Hospital.  During that same year he pursued a childhood dream of becoming a singer.  He joined a musical group, performing in Miami, and in Chicago, Illinois.  It was not until 1974, after having a powerful life-changing experience, in which he committed his life to the Lord, that Dr. Delgado decided to put an end to his music career and that lifestyle.

In 1976, Pastor Delgado attended Chicago Bible College for one year; this college led him to Rhema Bible Training Center (Kenneth Hagin Ministries), in Tulsa Oklahoma where he graduated in 1979.  Later on, in 1988 he had the privilege of being ordained by his mentor the Prophet Kenneth Hagin.

Following his graduation, he immediately entered the mission field and traveled to the provinces of Quetzaltenanago and San Marcos in Guatemala.  He lived and worked among the natives of the region and established three churches, which are still in existence today.   Additionally, he taught at the Living Water Bible Institute in the City of Quetzaltenango.

His next missionary journey led him to Tecoman, Mexico, a very small town by the Pacific Ocean located in the State of Colima.  He remained there for one year and established a church.  He later traveled to Belize, British Honduras to a remote jungle region where in a three year period he established five churches and a bible institute in the village of Unitedville, in the Cayo District.

It was not until September 1985, that the Lord directed Dr. Delgado to return to Miami and establish a bilingual local church.  That church is known today as Alpha & Omega.

In 1986, Pastor Delgado's ministry expanded to preaching the Gospel through the media of television and radio.  In 1990 he established "Instituto Biblico Alpha & Omega" (a bible institute for Spanish speaking students) and in September 1998, he introduced the Alpha & Omega Bible Institute (for English speaking students).  He is also the author of several books ‘Libertad, Conócela y Vívela', ‘Confrontando Las Tinieblas', ‘Hazme Justicia', and is presently working on two other new books.

The Lord has also placed an apostolic anointing upon Pastor Delgado to establish and develop local churches.  There are presently 6 local churches in the United States under his apostolic covering, including the church he founded and continues to pastor with over 3,000 members in Miami.

His ministry has also expanded outside the United States, a total of  43 churches have been planted in different countries; 14 churches in Guatemala, 6 churches in Argentina, 21 churches in Cuba (where most of his missionary work is been done) and 2 in Nicaragua.
